Dr Ruth Barrett

Associate Director, Operations

Dr Ruth Barrett has almost 20 years’ experience in commercial healthcare around IP management and licensing, negotiation, business development, fund raising & new company creation, corporate governance and project & alliance management. Ruth holds a PhD from Cambridge and an MA from Oxford University. Ruth is also currently a non-executive director at PepGen Ltd.

Prior to joining OxSonics, Ruth commercialised healthcare IP arising from Oxford University, most notably through creation of EvOx Therapeutics, Osler Diagnostics and PepGen raising a total of £14.5M and concluded many other licensing, option and material sale transactions. Before this, Ruth was a business development consultant at PharmaVentures with a particular focus on M&A in API manufacturing, and before this a senior scientist in drug discovery at Daniolabs.
