Mr Chris Hill

Finance Director

Chris Hill graduated in Economics and Public Policy in 2001 from Leeds Metropolitan University where he combined his studies with a professional rugby career.  He then went on to gain his chartered accountancy qualification with Grant Thornton UK LLP before moving in to Private Equity and Venture Capital specialising in fostering fast growing technology start-up companies.

In 2010, he joined ORA Capital Partners Ltd, an AIM listed investment vehicle specialising in early stage technology companies. His roles included the on-going performance appraisal of investment portfolio companies, daily situation analysis and fund/derivative valuations, joint responsibility for managing the IPO process of companies in the investment portfolio, managing and completing acquisitions of investments – including due diligence and implementing post acquisition integration of financial information.

In October 2013 he joined Oxford Pharmascience Group Plc as Chief Financial Officer where he had full responsibility for all financial, legal and HR functions in the AIM listed group. He co-led a fund raise of £20 million in new equity in June 2015 from major institutional and specialist investors in both the UK and US. He is experienced in negotiation and completion of both the In and Out Licensing of IP based assets in multiple geographies and had responsibility for managing due diligence and analysis on numerous potential acquisition targets as well as the creation and review of DCF valuation models for pharma products.
